Enjoy it now! In two years, the fighting will begin and you’ll have nothing but long-lost memories of these peaceful, innocent days. In two years, you may find yourself scolding your older child for not giving the toy to the baby even though you know full well the older child had every right to have the toy. And as you’re trying to mend the hurt feelings of the older child you’ll stop and wonder, “Why the heck did I just do that?” And then you’ll remember the piercing, screeching: “My toy! MY TOY!” that was coming from the baby and you’ll feel at least momentarily justified.
But that’s still two years away. (=
