man, that “working draft”:http://www.w3.org/TR/2005/WD-css3-background-20050216/ is a pretty exciting page to read. If the browsers implement even half I’d be a happy guy indeed. I mean, multiple background images! Border-images! With stretching? Background Origin? my god.
Like a previous poster I also wonder if CSS should be implementing todays fads. Gradients I could take or leave but if rounded corners are somehow (I’m hoping here) only steps away from giving the radius of an element – say a , then I’m all for them! We’ll need curves eventually.
I’d like to jump on Doug’s “clear specification language” boat. Maybe the w3 could sponsor a second version of the specs geared toward designers. I dont mean a tutorial but human oriented language and clearer examples would help a lot of us get it straight.
I’d really like to see a designer be a part of the working group. Not only as an artist but as someone who understands the history of communication design and the tools and langauge of that past.
Thanks for asking for input. Good luck to you all.
