2003.08.27 Getting Ready for the First Day of School

The day before Max's first day of school, we went out for a special lunch, went shopping for a new school outfit and then to get a haircut. Here's the evidence.

Wednesday, we went out to lunch at Minerva, home of the best Indian buffet in Sterling. Jen's not a big Indian food fan, but enjoyed the Tandoori. Max loved all the different breads and the rice, as you can see by his gigantic Grinch grin here.
I need a haircut, and Max likes to take pictures. This one taken by my son, the future Pulitzer prized winner for his worm's-eye view shots of celebrities.
Max was playing under the table and came up just so I could get this shot. Is he not the cutest thing on two legs?
After lunch, we went to get Max's hair cut. They have little TV's so Max was enthralled by The Wiggles through the whole thing.
Max tells her exactly what he wants, "I want it short, but not too short. I don't want to look like a Marine. I want my hair to say 'casual confidence - chicks dig me,' OK?"
Max is like a chicken. If you rub his head, he falls asleep.
The hair keeps coming off.
A mirror shot! Woo-hoo!
Max gets his Purple Hear... I mean lollipop.
"Yeah, chicks dig me."
"You think I'm kidding... they really do!"
