Dreams

You know something is wrong when you can’t get to sleep because you can’t stop thinking about work, and then when you do sleep, you have nightmares about work that wake you up. Just saying… something’s wrong when that happens.\
Oops: I upgraded to the new version of Movable Type last night and forgot to rename the comments script. It’s fixed now, so comments should work (not saying you’d want to leave a comment, but if you did, they work now).

  1. I had that issue when I used to work in Bugs Bunny Land at Six Flags – I was running sound for the characters’ kids show, which meant having to see and hear Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck doing the same schtick 6 times a day, 5 days a week. By midway through that summer, I was having nightmares where Bugs and Daffy were just continually clubbing me over the head with clown hammers.

  2. Kevin, that used to happen to me all of the time when I worked at AOL! I think it’s that place… getting away from it was good. 🙂
In 16 months of self-employment, I’ve had only one nightmare — that I’d have too much work and not enough time!

  3. No, Kevin, what’s bad is when you start having nightmares about your spouse’s work. I still feel kind of dirty a week later.
