Last thought: #RailsConf felt completely devoid of the snark and sarcasm-by-default I expected. Todd Sedano and I did our Vision for Inclusion workshop and were SUPER NERVOUS about who, if anyone, would show up.
We had 34 people show up, and the conversations at each of the table were deep, caring, curious and it just couldn't have gone better.
The community is in a much better place than I thought, and I couldn’t be more grateful to Ruby Central for crafting a conference that proved it.

Garrett nails the vibe at #RailsConf this year. It was my first time attending since 2008 and the excitement, collaboration, inclusiveness and spirit of fun was SO energizing (and exhausting too ... the conference paradox). I met tons of interesting people, really enjoyed the hallway track, and loved seeing my Gusto pals outside the office.

I forgot how tiring conferences are. I feel like I could sleep for a week. Had a great time at #RailsConf and am going to see if I can make it to RubyConf!

The hallway discussions, and in the Gusto booth, at #RailsConf have been great so far! Love the energy of this conference - I'm sad I took at 16 year break from attending!

I'm giving a lightning talk at #RailsConf about my tendency to use "it depends" a lot... and I'm using babies to explain why. I am pretty happy with it (mostly because I get to use pics of my youngest when he was a baby, and he was a VERY cute baby). Example: https://flickr.com/photos/kplawver/485410/in/album-19560/
