CW: for artists, harry potter
:boosts_appreciated: I know the Malfoid thing is the newest craze, and I know there are far fewer artists following me than I follow, but in case any of you see this:
if you have even the barest shred of empathy for trans people, even the tiniest scrap of desire to see the hell we go through eased, please ignore anything to do with Harry Potter, and please tell your friends the same :shiba_please:
JK Rowling weaponises every last bit of both money and attention she and her products get to make our lives measurably worse, to degrade our rights one court-case and political rally at a time, and not giving her products attention by your hand is one way you can help the hundreds of millions of trans people around the world hope for a better tomorrow :hug_love:
edit: also, "foid" is channer speak, evidently, so that's just one more thing to consider :ditto_yikes:

If you're #trans and feeling lonely, repost this.
If you are an ally and care about trans people, repost this.
You may be feeling lonely. But, you're not alone.

It’s the #trans day of visibility! I hope you’re happy, and safe, and loved. I’ll keep supporting you and working to make the world safer for all of us to exist in.

I cried at the end. I’m not sure why. I just love the #trans and whole LGBTQIA+ community so much. It’s so brave to live out loud, to be who you really are, in a world that wants you to be like everyone else. You have my undying respect, support and love. I am cheering so hard for all of you.

If you are #trans and a US citizen, you should absolutely, 100% apply for a passport this year, whether you plan to travel or not. Yes, it costs $$, but you can self-select your gender without bureaucratic BS (thanks, Joe), and it lasts 10 years and is valid ID everywhere in the world. Whatever fascist laws your GOP reps are proposing in your state legislature about gender markers on IDs, you will have a federal document that reflects your actual gender. And if necessary, you can use it to leave the country.

“Trans people aren’t a threat to anyone; hate born by ignorance is. All trans (including non binary) people deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, no matter who we are and where we are at with our medical and social transition. Look beyond the hype and fear-mongering in the press. Become the representation you want to see yourself.” Fox Fisher

I really (really, really) appreciate the #trans community I've found on Mastodon. As a parent, witnessing the joy shared here is a lovely counterpoint to the terror in my heart daily. So, thank you! Please keep it up; it helps more than you know.

Hiya cis folks. I love you. I hope you’re well. I worry you might watch the news and wonder how you can help trans folks.
Honestly? I suggest you send them money. Many of you probably have no idea how expensive it is to be trans. Find a gofundme or a Venmo or a kofi.
Go make a real material impact on a trans person, especially a BIPOC trans person. Can’t find a BIPOC trans person to help? Look harder.
Some flowers take more care and energy. Help us bloom. #trans
