Hypocrisy

“The politics of tax and spend are the politics of the past.” — George W. Bush

Ummm, Mr. President, isn’t it better to pay for what you get instead of running up huge debts? Like, oh, six trillion dollars with no end in sight? Yeah, i thought so.

So taking away all our tax breaks and sending us further beyond poverty level is a good idea?

No one’s said anything about taking away “all” our tax breaks. You and certainly not I are in the top 2% who would have their tax cuts repealed. Kerry has committed to keeping the middle class tax cuts – which pretty much everyone supported. It’s those amazing top-level cuts that need to go. Bush can’t go on and on about all these new programs while his administration and the Republican congress are running amazing deficits.
