Completely Selfish Thought Of The Day

Just my luck, GW is going to start a war on my birthday. It’s bad enough he’s spoiling St Patrick’s Day, the last holiday we have that means absolutely nothing. He’s going to go turn my birthday into a date that’s going to show up in trivia questions for the rest of eternity.

Worse than it being my birthday, if GW decides that March 20th is the day we go to war, he’ll be spoiling Mr. Rogers birthday as well, which really should be a national holiday, if you ask me. You can see who else’s birthday a March 20th war would mar, including Spike Lee, Holly Hunter, Bobby Orr, Hal Linden, Carl Reiner, Ozzie Nelson, Big Bird and Henrik Ibsen. Come on, President Bush, wait at least until the 21st, then you’re only ruining Bach, Mathew Broderick and Howard Cosell’s birthdays.

Come on big guy! Quit complaining about Bushy! He’s doing better than that child-molesting SOB that he replaced – you know, the guy that thought it was ‘fun’ being President? What was the name? oh, yeah! Slick Willy…. how appropriately named… and that was BEFORE Monica! Cheers! Keep on bloggin’! 😉

Granted, circumstances are different, but I was never this worried about the future of my country while Mr. Bill was president. The comparisons are insane if you start listing them. Clinton got a hummer. Bush is going to go to way against the will of more than half of the US population and the international community on evidence of which a large part has been proven false or even fabricated. Clinton allegedly covered up a real estate deal that was investigated for years that he lost money on. The Vice President not only lobbied, along with the Secretary of Defense and a deputy Secreaty of State to remove sanctions from Iraq in 1998, but the Vice President also refused to disclosed who he met with when formulating our Government’s energy policy. See, when you get down to it, the comparisons are pretty extreme. And I didn’t even like Clinton!! I didn’t vote for Al Gore. I voted for John McCain in the Republican primary in 2000. I ended up voting for Nader in the actual election because I didn’t like the idea of voting for either Gore or Bush. So, I’m not some life-long Democrat.
