<p><a href=”http://www.flickr.com/photos/kplawver/14068392/”>Brian, High On Grass</a></p>
\
Jen’s parents are here, and we decided to take a drive out to Bluemont to show them the farm that’s going to send us fresh veggies all summer. We had a ball. Brian was a trooper, and was pleasant for the whole trip, even though he skipped his nap. We picked asparagus, got some fresh bacon, went through the willow maze, watched Max go down the slide, and Brian got to grab at the grass.\
There are a bunch of pics in the photoset

Overall Kid – The Star Of His Own Movie
A couple weeks ago, I helped my sister with a little movie project that she filmed all on her digital camera. It made me realize I’d never tried using the movie feature on my digital camera. So I did. The day I dressed Brian up in his manly overalls and flannel shirt, I took a little movie of him playing. The voice is me trying to get him to make noise. Of course, Little Wrestler Brian didn’t come out and roar, but he’s still cute.\
Go see it if you wanna. -
I’m Going To Eat You!
Brian is going to happily eat you. If he doesn’t succeed in actually ingesting you, he will at least cover you in drool. That boy is cute, I tell you. I’m sure it’s all from Jen because I certainly don’t have even half that much cute in my DNA. My favorite thing is getting him after his naps. He’s usually laying there swimming. When I walk in, he perks up, lifts his head, craning it to see. When he spies me, he breaks into a giant grin and makes a happy noise. I love baby happy noises and giggly squeals. Brian makes a lot of them. They always make me feel better, no matter what’s going on.

Look Ma, Nothing In There!
Jen took these with the old digital camera while I was in Ireland. I love this picture. Brian has green mess all over his face (and I’m trying like mad to avoid the obvious booger jokes), and absolutely nothing in his mouth. His defiant baby snarl says, “Ha ha, mom, missed me!!”\
It’s amazing how different Brian is since I left. He’s more alert, more responsive to the slightest little thing, and he can sit up by himself!! Nevermind his Marine Corps issue haircut, perpetrated by his mom and grandmother. He’s so darn cute, I can’t stand it. -
Brian Gets a Haircut!
We gave Brian his first haircut yesterday (right before getting on a plane to Dublin). I love how it turned out, although it makes him look older. The boy is cute, is he not?

Pictures, Pictures of Kids and Babies, Rocks and Smiles
We have more pictures! Of course, there’s nothing to say except they’re of my beautiful children and a couple have their funny lookin’ dad in them:

Two Kids, a House and a Yard
Babies are fun. Toddlers are more fun, especially when they can talk and play games; but, babies are fun in their own way. Brian is 8 days old now, and he’s trying to lift his head, is really good at flailing his arms and kicking his blankets off. He still sleeps a lot, but is now spending more time awake and staring at us. I love it. His little eyes are focusing and moving in the same direction (no more cross eyes… at least most of the time).
It’s fun finding out which body parts look like someone else in the family. In comparing baby pictures, Brian looks almost exactly like Max at the same age. Brian is a little longer, a little heavier and has (we think) a slightly bigger head. But, we’re probably going to have to start marking baby pictures so we know who’s who.
We’re now a family of four. I have two kids. Ok, I think it’s sunk in now.
