On a happy note
On a happy note, I introduced someone at work to Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. Yes! And, for those of you who haven’t been introduced, you, meet the guys in the band. Guys in the band, meet you. There, now go buy Live Art and Flight of the Cosmic Hippo and have a good music heaven time.

Osama is Evil
Osama is Evil – if you need any more proof, just look who he’s hanging out with (look at poster, over his right shoulder).
Other Links (via caterina)
And the source!! The maker of the poster must have used this picture (via Owais from a Bert is Evil site). It makes me laugh that at this “Down with America” rally, people are holding up posters with a picture of an American character on them. Too funny. Is that ironic, Alanis?

Is al Qaeda sending coded messages?
“Is al Qaeda sending coded messages to followers via video statements?”
That’s the question of the day at CNN.com. You’d have to be an idiot to think the messages are in code. They’re right out there in the open. They’re asking anyone who believes in their cause to go out and find a Yankee to kill. I don’t see “code” in there anywhere.

It’s nice to know that
It’s nice to know that in a world where this can happen, this is also going on.
It’s been in my head for a while, banging around wanting to get out, that the world, and this country especially, is very large. There’s room here for pretty much anybody who thinks anything. And that’s great. I don’t have to agree with your stupid ideas, and you don’t have to agree with mine. But, for this all to work, we both have to agree that it’s ok for us to have stupid ideas. Here’s to stupid ideas!

Stupid memory, I knew it would ruin me!
You may be asking, “Mr. Kevin, where are your Monday morning movie reviews?” Let me tell you, having DirecTV sure cuts down on movie rentals. Other than an aversion to leaving the house and renting DVD’s, it gives me the chance to fill up on Iron Chef, Sessions at West 54th, football, Trading Spaces, movies out the wazoo (almost said yazoo, which is a stinky river in Mississippi), Band of Brothers and other strange and wonderful programming. Yessir, I’m hooked! So, the Monday Morning Review may be the “Weekend DirecTV Review” instead.
TiVo is next, so I can watch all this happy stuff when I want to. Mmmmm, media slut, that’s me.
Ok, among all this back-patting, I have one complaint about our DirecTV box. It has this cool-sounding Scout feature. You give it the name of a program you want to watch, and it should give you a list of when it shows up in the listing. The problem is, it only works when the box is off. Who turns their box off? Not me, I tell you. Bring on the TiVo!

Oh, and I posted pics
Oh, and I posted pics of Max’s biggest birthday present, the mural his Aunt Heather and I painted.

Do you know what’s great?
Do you know what’s great? Taking late Sunday afternoon naps! I couldn’t keep my eyes open around 5:30 last night so I ran upstairs and slept until 7. It was great!! I should do it every day…

So, we’re bombing Afgahnistan.
So, we’re bombing Afgahnistan. They say this will last for the foreseeable future. You know, on the 11th, I realized that my world had changed. I’m still not ready for my world to turn around. It’s selfish, but that’s the truth.

Max’s birthday pics will be
Max’s birthday pics will be online Monday. Grandparents have been alerted.
I took Thursday and Friday off for Max’s birthday. What fun! Max is the coolest kid ever. No, really. I got to see a speech therapy appointment Friday morning, and take Jen to a nice restaurant last night. Max is over at my fam’s having a sleep over (that’s to make me feel better so I’m not calling it baby-sitting). It was nice being able to sleep in and not have to worry about Max waking up early.
I’m still not awake yet, so this’ll be short… and that’s it.
