99 cents is the price of love

Apple Computer will continue to charge only \$0.99 for music through iTunes.\
YAY! I love iTunes. Since I have discovered it, I have gone from spending \$15 once a year for an entire CD to spending \$60 (or more, hee) a year for only my favorite songs. While my spending has increased four-fold, my enjoyment has increased 100-fold.\
Awhile ago I downloaded Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.” I love this song, but I didn’t want to pay full price for the whole CD just for one song. And this is the beauty of iTunes. Just buy what you actually want to hear. In the last year, I also bought some Killers, Soft Cell, Ivy, Will Smith, Rick Springfield, Taxi Doll, and Fiona Apple. I am a total poser when it comes to music. I mean seriously- Eminem, Nitty, and Will Smith in my collection? But now I can be as poser-y as I want to be, for less than a dollar!\
I can also buy all of the songs played on my beloved Veronica Mars with ease. (Have I recently mentioned how awesome their music is? It is award-winning. Literally!) Lately I have really been enjoying the cheesy fantastic tv show Supernatural and the mullet rock that goes with it. Just yesterday I made a CD for the car, full of the most head-bangingiest classic rock around.\
So in closing, YAY for iTunes and its cheap prices! If you are an iTunes user, what are the last three songs that you bought?

Four Out of Five Ain’t Bad

The ratings are in and our panel at SXSW this year averaged a 4 out of 5! That’s not bad for it being four our of five panelists’ first time doing a panel at SXSW and us totally redoing our slides in the days before we presented.\
I have two presentations at WWW this year. I can only hope they go half as well as our panel at SXSW did.

New things sometimes suck

When I opened the back of the van this morning, to load my newly purchased groceries, I found a case of Dr. Pepper Berries ‘n Cream. While I normally avoid caffeine, I decided to try it because: 1) today is my “day off” and I need to be awake to enjoy it! 2) I actually have a lot of chores to do and need the energy to do them, 3) I have to take Max to soccer practice, and can’t allow the usual 5pm slowdown to occur, 4) Veronica Mars is new tonight so I need to stay awake to watch it and 5) I love Dr. Pepper, so I wanted to try this new variety.\
But let me tell you, Dr. Pepper Berries ‘n Cream SUCKS! Bleacky.

Boy’s growing up

Brian reminds me of Winnie-the-Pooh when he climbs up the dining room chair for his meals. Seeing his diaper-padded tushy sticking up in the air and his little feet wiggling while they try to get leverage is so awesome! It is enough to make me want to get rid of the highchair altogether. (Which I keep for emergency prison-like meals.)\
ETA- The little turd stole my Dove chocolate squares when I wasn’t looking! I forcibly made him trade them for a peppermint patty. He was not pleased. He knows the goodness of the Dove, even though he has never had one. Smart boy.

It’s been awhile, I know

Microformats a Go-Go

One day last week while the boys were watching TV, I decided to finally get this here blog up-to-date with microformats, especially since I’m all for them and keep telling people to use them. Might as well take my own medicine, right?\
As of sometime last week, the front page has three separate hAtom feeds and each entry has an hCard on it. I’ve been trying to find time to redo my resume (no, I’m not looking, this is just an excuse to use hResume), but haven’t had time (working nights and weekends will do that to you, along with the fact that I really need a haircut).\
I didn’t have time to remove the classes I had on there before and change the CSS, so the source looks a little cluttered, and nothing’s been done to the archives. I just didn’t have time (running theme, I know).\
If you see anything wrong, please let me know so I can fix it.

Holy crap!
